Initial Assessment and Delegation

Initial Assessment and Delegation is designed to help RNs complete a thorough initial client assessment and delegate care tasks to caregivers safely, clearly, and within scope. The program covers how to gather and document key health information, identify risks and priority needs, translate findings into a practical care plan, and communicate expectations to caregivers using clear instructions and measurable outcomes. RNs will also learn how to match tasks to caregiver competency, provide effective teaching and supervision, and set up ongoing monitoring to ensure consistent, high-quality care and client safety.
